Purple City Genetics

Purple City Genetics brings Oakland-bred cannabis genetics, seeds and clones to the Clonetopia lineup. Founded in Oakland in 2008, PCG grew out of California’s medical movement and built its name selecting for commercial usefulness: potency, terpene production, yield, extract performance and trend-forward flavor. Its current public menu highlights seed and clone offerings, plus collections such as El Krem Peaches, ’87 and Akira, with listed cultivars including Toronja, Peak 112, Maddfruit, G-Runtz, Midtown Haze, King Lemon and Marrakesh. Talking Trees Farms adds a Humboldt County, single-source, sustainability-first voice to Clonetopia. The brand operates permitted farms in Humboldt County and says it cultivates with organic methods and inputs, no chemical pesticides, rain-catchment stored water and permitted wells rather than drawing from streams, creeks or rivers. High Times reported that Talking Trees became a brand in 2013, won a best CBD vape award at the 2018 High Times Cannabis Cup NorCal, placed with Pink Lemonade live resin and Orange Cookies in 2019, and has multiple Emerald Cup wins.
