Clonetopia returns—and growers mean business

Clonetopia returns—and growers mean business

Clonetopia powered by CANNA fall 2026 impact report

We successfully cloned Clonetopia, y’all.

Hundreds of California’s terp chasers and pro growers swooped on trays full of elite new cannabis genetics and met the rock star breeders in person Sept. 19-20 at the second Clonetopia powered by CANNA clone release festival, held at 7 Stars dispensary and the neighboring Exit Now gallery in Richmond, California.

Fall is when indoor tent growers acquire new genetics for winter runs, and large facilities add new strains to test for full 2027 production. We again used our combo of marketing, RSVPs, pre-order, clone pickup and a festive reception to make a new moment on the annual cannabis event calendar.

We hosted the Bay Area debut of 2026 “it” strain Toad Venom, as well two Purple City Genetics premiers, HendRx Farms’ debut of Blue Pops, and the launch of The Library nursery out of Sacramento. Talking Trees’ coveted clones sold out—again. And we sold clones for as much as $1,566 per cutting.

Up next, we have Terpnami seed rave Dec. 5-6. Clonetopia will return in May and September 2027.

Thank you to all involved, especially 7 Stars. Here’s some Clonetopia powered by CANNA II highlights.

“The only thing I can say is, ‘Wow.’ … My expectations were completely blown out of the water. I knew it would be something good, but there is some absolutely stupid bona fide triple-A heat.” —Michael Tebbs, Clonetopia powered by CANNA guest

“It was awesome—a really cool event. It was inspiring in a world of doom and gloom to have real people really stoked on some truly special medicine. They were genuinely excited. There were people planning way ahead to attend. It was so special to be surrounded by that energy. I’m already looking forward to May [2027].” —Ben Grambergu, 7 Stars | Exit Now

Lessons

We learned the September audience skews more industry and business-to-business, with ravenous early shoppers for whom getting genetics is a job. We can better serve the most engaged early birds.

“It was so cool to see the different B2B audience. We saw consumers buying one or two plants in May. The B2B crowd didn’t blink an eye at the elite tier clones. The people in the business were very grateful. It was really cool.” —Ben Grambergu, 7 Stars | Exit Now
